Into the Water: A Novel

A #1 New York Times Best Seller! With the same propulsive writing and acute understanding of human instincts that captivated millions of readers around the world in her explosive debut thriller, The Girl on the Train, Paula Hawkins delivers an urgent, twisting, deeply satisfying read that hinges on the deceptiveness of emotion and memory, as well as the devastating ways that the past can reach a long arm into the present. Beware a calm surface—you never know what lies beneath.

Better than girl on the train but the need for animal
Cruelty I have no idea?! Wouldn't say it was possible to know who the killer was and if you did it would be an educated guess so for that reason it's worth a read as far as thrillers go! Not a bad book!

I couldn't finish it. I picked it up several times but keeping characters and timelines straight became a chore. I just didn't care how it ended or what actually happened.
Paula Hawkins is certainly a solid mystery/thriller author. Although this book was not a twisty as The Girl On The Train, it was still a page turner! The end was pretty guess-able, once you get about halfway through the book. The only complaint I had with the story was the cast of characters and how many there were. At first it was really confusing and I had to keep flipping back to remind myself who people were, I almost drew a diagram. After about 150-200 pages it begins to get easier keeping people straight.
Character development for most of the characters was solid. Plot line was solid.
I would definitely recommend this book!
